I offer specialist therapy for women and birthing people experiencing a range of women’s health-related difficulties. You might be here because you are feeling anxious, worried, or low in your pregnancy. Perhaps you have been through a traumatic birth experience, or are finding it difficult to adjust to life with a newborn. These experiences are extremely normal, and its normal to need extra help and support with them too.
I currently work part-time in an NHS service for women, birthing people, and families who have been through experiences of trauma and loss before, during, and after a pregnancy. I am experienced in working with women and birthing people who have experienced lots of different difficulties related to women’s health. These include, but are not limited to:
– fears of childbirth
– experiences of birth trauma
– worries, anxiety and low mood in pregnancy
– finding it hard to adjust to having a newborn
– worries and difficulties with fertility
– experiences of loss, including miscarriage
– difficulties with diagnoses, including endometriosis and vaginismus
I am trained to use lots of different types of evidence-based therapies. Examples include compassion-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, and trauma-focused therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR). Depending on what you hopes are for therapy, we will work together to agree on a plan which feels right for you. If you are interested to find out how I can help you, please get in touch and we can arrange an initial conversation. I look forward to hearing from you.Relative to the average, approximately how much do you charge: £££ - I charge about average in my area
